Q: When and where were you born?

A: November 22nd, in Petoskey, MI, however, I was raised in Sarasota, FL.

Q: What's your sign?

A: Sagitarius

Q: Do you believe in Astrology?

A: Yes...no....well, maybe.

Q: When and why did you start playing?

A: Age 13 during a family reunion i realized i could play drums....wow cool!

Q: Which instruments do you play?

A: Guitars, drums, bass, mandolin, saxaphone.

Q: What was the first tune(s) you learned?

A: "25 or 6 to 4" by Chicago.

 

 

 

 

 

Q: Is your family musical?

A: Yes, our family gatherings always had music going on.. and now both of my kids are incredibly talented musicians.

Q: Which famous musicians do you admire?

A: Ace Frehley for his style, Michael Schenker for his speed and technique, Warren Haynes for his tone, Mark Farner for.. well for being Mark Farner..and S.R.V. for ....duh!!

Q: Which famous musicians have you learned from?

Q: Who was your first teacher? Other teachers?

A: My turntable as a youth...and every musician I have had the pleasure to share the studio or stage with. 

 

 

 

 

 

Q: Describe your first instrument and other instruments special to you.

A: First guitar..Montgomery Wards p.o.s. electric with a plastic amplifier..other? my 1994 metallic red fender strat. So relevant it is tattooed on my daughters arm!

 

Q: What are your fondest musical memories? In your house? In your neighborhood or town?

A: Every day we are on tour.

Q: Were you influenced by old records & tapes?

A: All my parents old Johhny Cash records, and all the early Kiss albums, every Grand Funk Railroad, Beatles, and Brownsville Station records.

A:  Jace n Lee's first five plus one.

Q: What is your favorite song?....yes, just one!

A: Favorite song... c'mon thats not fair!

Q: Do you get nervous before a performance?

A: No...I just try to find something black to wear.

Q: How do you handle mistakes during a performance?

A: Cry...

Q: What advice would you give to beginners who are nervous?

A: Go forward with confidence and courage!

Q: How often and for how long do you practice? Exercises?

A: As often as possible...on whatever needs work, or whatever comes to me.

Q: Do you teach music?

A: Always teaching...always learning.

 

 

 

 

Q: How do you balance your music with other obligations - mate, children, job?

A: Just Sacrifice Everything...unfortunately!

A: With....The Byrds, Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show, Molly Hatchet, Pat Traverse, Roy Clark Band, Eric Burden and the New Animals, Mitch Ryder.  For...Sonic Blue, Two Gun Justice, Flashback, Dead Dog Blues, Ballanger Park, Donnie McCormick, and more...

A: It comes from and touches the soul...it is the universal language.
